The ratio of macronutrients on the ketogenic diet is much different than most diets. It features fat at an average of seventy percent, protein at twenty percent, and carbs at ten percent. The exact ratios are decided by your health issues and goals and there is a difference between the first few weeks ratio and the one you will switch to after fat adaptation has fully occurred.
During ketosis, your body breaks down fat for energy rather than sugar, which means you get a more consistent and even type of energy. Also, the average person has over 70,000 fat calories stored on their body and so there is always a source of energy and fat burning.

Intermittent fasting, (IF) is going for several hours without eating. It is a hormonally friendly action that triggers the main fat-burning hormone and forces your body to use stored fat. Most people assume that fasting means going on a long hunger strike. Intermittent fasting uses strategic timing of meals to cut caloric intake and burn fat faster by passing on meals we did not need to eat in the first place.

This is our monthly meetup for any and all beginners to the Ketogenic Diet and/or Intermittent Fasting.
We host an online meetup once a month through Facebook Live for 90 minutes where we share an overview of the Keto Lifestyle. This includes our success stories and citing several credible sources supporting the research behind the diet.
After the Meetup ends the Facebook Live video gets posted to our page and we respond to comments on it for the next 48 hours. This is especially helpful for anyone that couldn’t make it or had to leave early.
Here’s what you need to do in order to attend:
- Like our page on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/ketolifestylecoach/
- RSVP to the monthly event post through either Facebook or Meetup. https://bit.ly/2Be3avR
